Sports Massage

I came to sports massage from a background in teaching yoga, specialising in yoga and structural fitness for athletes across a wide variety of disciplines, using sport-specific biomechanical analysis and movement work for injury prevention/rehab.

My experience includes running, cycling, football, rugby, tennis, archery, weightlifting/training, triathlon, skiing, boxing and dance.  I regularly prepare clients for races and competitions andwork on a volunteer basis at events including marathons, ironmans and 100km challenges.

As well as athletes in training and competition or needing treatment for soft tissue injuries, my clients include many non-athletes encountering the stresses and strains of everyday life or their profession, such as actors and singers, writers, photographers, manual and desk workers, and those sitting or on their feet all day!

I qualified at the renowned North London School of Sports Massage (NLSSM), and am now a member of their teaching team, training the next generation of therapists.

Sports Massage Therapist

I have worked closely with in both the sporting and private sector for the past 7 years, and have a particularly keen interest in sporting injuries and musculoskeletal disorders. I have experience in a variety of different sports and have treated athletes from the recreational amateur level all the way to the professional level.

I enjoy a range of sports from football, rugby, golf, tennis and running. However, my main sporting passion is Cricket where I have represented Hertfordshire County at age group level, and now play regularly for my local team Old Owens CC.

At the clinic I specialise in Sports Massage Therapy, which I see as a key component to aiding recovery from injury, and as a source of injury prevention during training. Using my sports background I will also advise on any biomechanical issues that may be causing your problem and how to fix them, helping to provide a fully holistic treatment plan for each of my patients.
