Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a type of skin massage which uses gentle
and rhythmic hand movements in a range of different sequences.
The movements and sequences relate to the structure & physiology of the Lymphatic System.
This technique moves the skin over the underlying tissues and so increases the flow of Lymph.

MLD helps cleanse the connective tissues of waste products and excess fluid
and so promotes the healing of injuries, some chronic conditions and edemas.

MLD is now being seen by hospitals and clinics throughout the UK as an effective adjunct to the treatment and control of Lymphoedema. It helps you to relax and can increase your feelings of well-being. MLD helps to heal (especially burns) and improves skin which is scarred.
